Rust Converter Product - 346
Stops Rust and Converts It to an Inert, Protective Coating. Converter is a liquid surface conditioner and primer that converts existing rust into an inert, protective coating that seals out moisture and corrosion to prevent future development. Unlike other products, it is not a simple cleaner or cover-up. The special formula attacks rust at the chemical level, for fast, long-lasting results. Treated surfaces turn matte black, and can be painted with an oil-based paint for even longer protection against new rust.

Tannic acid reacts with iron oxide (rust) and chemically converts it to iron tannate, a dark-colored stable material. The overall chemical reaction converts rust into a stable, black protective polymeric coating.
Do not paint with water-based paints.
